Woke late, but we were still the first to breakfast at 9:00am. Wandered down to the beach, and had a swim in the Arabian Sea, protected by Australian trained Indian lifeguards in red and yellow vests wandering aimlessly about. Hope that they had something more potent than floaties. The closest country to us straight out to sea is Somalia, but we didn't think that they would come this far to hassle us.
Watched the circus as the local resort tried to get it's boat started to tow a group of Indian tourists around on a log, then tip them off accompanied by much screaming. Not surprisingly it was a very short ride.
Morning tea up the beach a bit at a cafe overlooking the lush beach front and benign surf. Back to the room about lunch time, and I think we dozed the afternoon away.
Dinner of grilled fish with Simon, the owner, and the other guests. A day completely bereft of cultural insights, historical discoveries, and imposed schedules.
