Not quite the day we expected when we booked a decent hotel for the last couple of nights, but it turned out to be a blessing. Mandy wasn't well and stayed on the bed in the cool for most of the day. I hung around uselessly, visited the chemist in the middle of the day, and loaded up lots of photos onto the blog the rest of the time. Mid afternoon with Mandy no better I wandered off to find a doctor. Finally found one who wouldn't be back till around 6pm, but it was the only option we had.
We were waiting at 6pm for the doctor to arrive, and were given the advance checks by the nurse. I had to walk down town to the ATM to get funds before they would see her - at a tourist rate I'm sure. Anyway, they started her on a drip while I had some dinner down town, but then I had to make a third trip down town to the ATM to get more funds for the medicines that they administered.
We hobbled back to the room about 8:30 and waited for nature to take it's course, which it did throughout the night. By morning she wasn't better, but at least started on the road to recovery.
