Every seat on the Boeing 777 was full. Melbourne is obviously the place to visit! It's strange moving from a plane speaking Swahili straight to a plane full of Australians. Kind of welcoming, and kind of boring all at the same time.
A 14 hour journey with two 3 course dinners to catch up with Melbourne time. You have to love Qatar Airways. Had a sleep, watched Moneyball, and arrived in Melbourne at 10:30pm. We thought that we might get the full quarantine inspection having come from Africa, but apart from a sniffer dog we breezed through.
Finally got to meet Rachel who came with Brendan to pick us up, and were home in time for bed.
A pretty full on holiday. The tours were fun but arduous. Looking back we probably spend too long
touring and not enough relaxing, but you really can't tell how long it's going to be from a tour brochure. All in all a great experience, but we might not repeat it soon.
