Pretty much a day of running around and doing things before we had to take the car back. We started off by going to the apartment and installing all the lights, switches and other gadgets that we brought yesterday. Then we all took a break, and Rachel and Sarah took us on a walk to explore Elmwood Avenue - the road that the apartment is located on. It's a pretty trendy suburb with lots of coffee shops, candy stores, cup cake stores, organic groceries and plenty of eateries.
After ploughing through the snow on the sidewalks the whole way, we all stopped at one of the coffee shops to warm up. Finally Mandy, Ashley and I had to leave to finish our errands. Firstly it was off, trusting the GPS with our fate, to somewhere out in the sticks to pick up Rachel's wedding plate, then a bit down the road to drop off one of Ashley's guitar pedals for repair, and lastly back to the tailor to drop Ashley off for more fittings. Mandy and I then sprinted out to the airport to drop off the car with 15 minutes to spare.
The flight that Mandy's parents were arriving on was delayed by about two hours, so a convenient timing turned out to be quite a lengthy wait for Mandy, while I took the hotel shuttle back to the motel with the plate.
With everybody there, except for Jess who was in transit at JFK, we gathered for the rehearsal in the hotel's atrium, being walked through our paces by the wedding organiser. Finally, a lovely rehearsal dinner together in the restaurant at the hotel where we had a great time meeting and chatting to Pastor Eric and his wife who were going to do the deed.
