Time to move on after a memorable week in Buffalo. We didn't get to the morning-after breakfast for everybody, as we had an early morning shuttle to the airport, and a morning flight to Atlanta. Just as well we didn't try to squeeze it in, as breakfast started quite late in what was now expected form. Atlanta - now there's a busy airport. The terminal, one of six, was swarming with people. All the traditional sterotypes abounded - amost every flight had a gate change at the last minute, nearly every flight was overbooked and relied on people not turning up, they were offering rewards to give up your seat, and duplicate boarding passes abounded. On our flight we had a flight attendant running down the aisle telling them not to close the doors as we had 4 people standing at the back without seats even though they had boarding passes. In the end they had to get 2 people, who didn't want to go, to get up and get off the plane so we could leave.
The afternoon was spent on the flight from Atlanta to Tampa. Picked up another car for the week of touring, and headed off to our room. It's a hostel called Gram's Place - the house where Gram Pasons lived. Quite funky, and a typical hostel. The jacuzzi was in operation, but Mandy decided not to partake, only because it was 4 degrees she said!
Went for a short drive to the historic district of Ybor (eee-bor) for dinner. Kind of Like New Orleans with balconies, lights, live entertainment, restaurants and cafes. Had a lovely meal in a live entertainment pub.
