Three buses suddenly swept through the house yards, and roared off without pausing.
Nobody blinked an eyelid, except me, but it turns out the buses were full of veterinary students from James Cook Uni in Townsville, visiting as part of their week long stay at the pastoral college in Longreach.
We eventually chased the buses down to the woolshed, where there was an extremely long line of girls waiting to use the shearer's drop toilet.
When they finally got that off their mind, Boyd gave them a bit of a talk about the property and how it runs, followed by a number of questions. It was pretty obvious that some of the students were from the country, and very familiar with sheep farming, whilst others were definitely city folk with not much experience.
