Monday Milan

A slow morning really, just waiting for the train. Wandered around the sleepy town looking for an open internet cafe.  Finally found one and Ashley checked his VCE results.  Did really well and ended up with 83.7% which was in line with what he was hoping for.  Caught the train directly to Milan, and arrived about 4 p.m.  Walked to the hotel, dropped our stuff, and headed into the centre of the town on the Metro.  Started at the Duomo and wandered around the town window shopping.  Had tea at a cafe we found -- same as Venice.  Saw Beyonce at an Armani store, then came back to an internet cafe for a lovely video chat with Mandy.  Milan is a nice town.  Stunning Duomo in the centre and lots of lovely Christmas lights to admire.  Has quaint trams and extensive Metro system.  Had English-language sky TV in the room which kept Ashley happy.  Every high-class fashion stories here to gaze at.  Saw La Scala which had a Christmas scene projected onto its exterior -- very pretty.
