Wednesday in-flight

Work up very early, about 5 am actually, and watched some PDA comedy for a while until dawn started to break. Had our own breakfast and went to explore the city before it got too hot. Walked along Beach Road, detoured to Raffles Hotel, although nothing was yet open. Along past City Hall, Parliament and the cricket ground to the Merlion. Down Boat Quay past Raffle's landing site, then up into Fort Canning Park where Ashley did the Battle Box tour. Around the park and down into Orchard Road where we window shopped for several hours, having lunch in a Thai restaurant. After our enthusiasm waned, we caught a train back to the centre of the city and spent an hour or so in the electronics mall. Finally we walked up to Kampong Glam and looked at the mosque and sultan's palace before heading to the hostel to grab our gear, and headed out to the airport on the MRT. Our flight is departing from the new terminal three. Spent an hour on the free internet, MSN’ing the girls, before Ashley had a final Burger King meal and we boarded. A full 747, one of seven going to Australia this evening from Singapore alone. Gosh we travel. There are Australians everywhere. Got through customs quickly on arrival in Melbourne, and Brendan picked as both up. Home at 9:30 am.
