CuChi tunnels day. Boarded the bus, stopping at the rubber tree plantation. Arrived at the tunnels, watched a 60's propaganda video, then saw a small tunnel escape hatch, various weapons and spiked traps laid for soldiers, fighting tunnels, smoke dispersions schemes, and finally got to go down the tunnels for about 150 m. Much larger than expected. Could get through crouching without having to crawl. Had escape points at 30 m, 60 m and 100 m but I did the lot. Very dark was the overwhelming impression, and quite warm. Had a drink and took the bus back to the hotel. Another free afternoon wasted trying to find an ATM and internet. Saw the War Remnants Museum and had a small dinner before packing. Walked past lovers park where every seat had a couple on a motorbike in attendance.
