A declared lay day after a few early and long days. After breakfast we took tuc-tucs to the masseurs -- blind Cambodians. Nice, but a bit too gentle. Then a tuc-tuc back into the central market to do some shopping. Interesting that not much took our fancy, though Mandy bought a lovely elephant bracelet. Lunch at a cafe, then we walked up to the tourist market. Several hundred stalls all selling the same 10 t-shirts, and a dozen different scarves. Then a long tuc-tuc ride out to the silk farm for six dollars return, where they teach people to run silk farms, and how to retrieve the silk and then spin, weave and dye it. Mandy tried on the silk blouse but wasn't the right shape. Very dusty ride home for a big wash.

Mandy went out with some of the group at six to dinner at a traditional dance performance. The meal was very big and the dance was good. I walked into town and went for a foot massage -- six dollars an hour. Actually it was a leg, foot, shoulder and neck massage. Much nicer than the morning one. Then I had a tea of fish and chips at the Red Piano cafe, and walked home looking for a convenience store to stock up for the boat trip tomorrow. Saw a guy carting two live pigs on the back of his motorbike -- both flat on their backs.
