A day planned for Mandy. Caught the hotel shuttle to BWI then the courtesy bus to hire a car. Drove to York then Lancaster, to Bird In Hand and Intercourse to the Amish community. Stood in the cold for ages to find that the buggy rides weren't running due to the cold. Had lunch of shoe fly pie at an Amish village then off to Gettysburg where we did a CD self drive audio tour through the massive battlefield. A huge number of monuments throughout the park. Drove home in the dark via 'Boston Market' for tea, then reversed the shuttles to return the car. More Americans, about 650,000, died in the battle of Gettysburg than in both World War I and World War II together.
