We left at 11:30 after a leisurely pack and cleanup. The house has never looked so tidy and uncluttered since we moved in, or at least since Brendan was born.
We gingerly pulled out a few metres and took the obligatory photo. The van towed well, but I didn't attempt to break any speed records. Called in on Heather and Paul at Mount Wallace near Ballan for a late lunch, and then on to Ballarat arriving at four.
Brendan was really helpful while we packed, travelled well and even managed a short sleep. Let's hope it keeps up.
Heard on the news about Alice Springs being flooded under 8 inches of water. Heavytree Gap is cut, people have drowned, and tourists stranded at Ayers Rock. Travellers are advised not to head towards Alice Springs for 48 hours.
