Jericho is a small town east of Longreach, named Jericho because it's on the banks of the Jordan River (boom boom).

It came into existence as a railway stop on the Rockhampton to Longreach railway, but these days only boasts a postal agency, and a pub which will order you bread and milk twice a week.

However, it's home to Australia's smallest drive-in, which is built on a house block, and operates once a month.
