Zoe's parents recently completed a new rammed-earth house on the property, a couple of paddocks away from where they used to live - which is where Deon and Zoe are building their new house, and the schoolhouse is situated.
Today Winter arrived. Where last week we have open windows to vent the caravan, and air-con in the middle of ther day to cool us down, it's now 8C when we get up, and the heater is on in the mornings and evenings. It's changed so quickly, and we've donned jumpers for the first time in 12 months.
Enjoyed dinner at the big house last night, sitting around the log fire feeling very cozy.
