Monday Fussen

Left Ashley sleeping while we saw some extra things around Zürich. Went to the train station first to buy a ticket for the 20 km Austria sector of today's train trip, as Mandy's Eurail pass doesn't cover Austria. Then a trip up the Polybahn, a short funicular railway to the University where that uni Christian group was praying over the city. Nice view. Then back to the other end of the city to Fraumunster Kirche with crypt, large organ and spectacular modern stained glass windows. Back to the room to wake Ashley and check out. Rather expensive hostel for one where most things were broken. Off to the train station, a bite of lunch, then a nice EC train to Buchloe. Mad scramble to adjacent platform for a three-minute connection system. Found an ATM to stock up on Euros now the we are back in Germany, nice cheap tea at a Bavarian restaurant (good prices again) then a long walk in dark to the hostel. When we got there we found that we had a very old booking and they now had a new hostel close to the station. So back to where we started, thankfully they drove us back in. At least it will be much easier to leave gear while we visit the castle. Ashley went for a walk and sang in the dark.
