Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Up at 3:30 AM, with two alarms set. On the 4 AM shuttle to the airport. In contrast to Melbourne, there were absolutely no queues for anything. Straight up to the desk, straight through security. Just a damn long wait for the plane. Eventually boarded at 6:30 AM to find we had been upgraded to business class, presumably because they had allocated is two window seats in different rows again. Beautiful lunch and nice comfy seats and pillows to snooze with.

Arrived about 5 PM at Tulla. Through customs and immigration without hassles, but had to wait for our baggage for some time, as the baggage handlers stopped work due to electrical storms in the vicinity. The bags eventually arrived, and we took the shuttle bus to Spencer Street, the train to Mt Waverley and walked home. After cheap trains and taxis, it was a shock to have to pay $40 to get home from the airport. Another great and safe holiday, in which everything went well.
