Had continental breakfast of doughnuts, juice and salad. Drove from Oakdale to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Saw the Grant Tree which is the third largest in the world and the Sherman Tree which is the largest. Drove through the Tunnel tree and climbed innumerable steps up Morrow Rock for a great view. It was only when I was out of breath that I realised how high the altitude was. Drove down the steep winding road to the valley and almost drove over a brown bear walking in the middle of the road. Caused rather a traffic jam but got some great photographs. Checked in to the Econo Lodge at Visalia and then had tea at Denny's.
