We started by going for a walk around the old Montréal township. Saw the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral, walked through the village and watched the ice-skating on the boat harbour. Montréal is much older looking, messier and dirtier than other Canadian cities we visited, and quite a disappointment. We had lunch in Chinatown at an 'all you can eat' restaurant. The Olympic Village was too far out to visit, but we saw signs to it from some of the lookouts. Had tea in a unit using the microwave and watched the Norwegian dude thump Kelly Clarkson and Guy Sebastian in World Idol. Trains toot their horns incessantly and the Canadian President is introducing legislation to limit the duration and level of the tooting.
