We walked to the subway and transferred to Amtrak at Boston South. A short trip to Providence, where nobody would mind our packs so we had to lump them around all day. We took the Green and Gold trolleys around the town's sites, down restaurant row. We walked around the river area and saw the hurricane gates, and saw the state capital buildings. Caught an hour long bus out to Newport, to probably the best hotel so far on the holiday. It had an indoor pool, spa, DVD, gym, free Internet, two queen beds, microwave, fridge, lounge and a huge free breakfast. We cooked tea in our room and watched 'Bend It Like Beckham'.
