Martin Luther King Jr holiday, so trains and buses were on funny timetables, and some things were closed. It meant we had to walk to the station to transfer to our Amtrak train for the day trip to Colonial Williamsburg -- a fully functioning town with a large number of restored buildings dating back to the civil war, being operated by people in period costume. Very like the wharf area at Echuca, or Maldon. Upon our return we caught the bus to the local mall for tea and last-minute shopping. A rather disappointing shopping centre.
