On train

Finally got away after Brendan spent a long time on the phone to Jo. Straight to Union Station where we checked in our baggage, then went to see the Pope John Paul II museum at the Catholic University campus which was really interesting. Back to the Air and Space Museum to see the planetarium show, then the Natural History Museum to see the Hope diamond and the dinosaurs. Called it quits for Washington sightseeing and went back to Union Station for tea and the train at six o'clock. Unfortunately, the train was delayed from 7:10 to 9:30 to 10:30 to11:00 to 11:05 to 11:10. We were fairly tired by the time we eventually left at midnight!
