Nashville

Nine o'clock pickup for the half day Nashville tour. Saw the town, visited the Ryman Theatre -- the home of the Grand Ol Opry for many years, for a short film and tour, the Parthenon replica, the Country Music Hall of Fame which is new but far more sterile and isolated from visitors with no cameras allowed, then finally to a honky-tonk bar for a drink and country and western singer. After the tour we walked around the town, did internet at the library, saw the Capitol building and visitors centre. We tried to track down Mercy Me concert dates at Christian store. Brendan went out to a Rcktwn town concert, originated by DC Talk members, while I sat in a huge chair at the Spaghetti Tree for tea.
