A drama filled morning. Booked a 5 AM shuttle to the airport, which was late. Halfway there I realised I'd left my phone at the hotel. We had to queue at the airport to get our tickets, then again to have our bags x-rayed and searched. At that point I sprinted for a taxi and left Brendan to take the carry on bags through the personal security checks. Had 60 minutes before the flight left, and it took me 40 minutes to get there and back. Rang the hotel from the taxi and they refused to believe that my phone was still in the room. When I got to the hotel I almost had to drag the manager up the stairs to open the door, so that I could produce my phone triumphantly from under the pillow. Dashed back to the waiting taxi and sprinted for the airport. Let to the front of the security line, but then thoroughly searched. Made the flight two minutes before closure, and then sat for a 30 minute delay on the tarmac. It was 25° when we left Miami and 1° when we arrived in Dallas. Shuttle then a long bus trip to the city, and a train to the suburbs, before walking to the hotel. Went to the electronics shops by train in the afternoon. Tried to watch the NBA all-star game after tea, but fell asleep exhausted.
