Los Angeles

We went from long walk in the morning along the beach from Venice to Santa Monica. Venice was the home of 'beats' and weirdos, whereas Santa Monica has its pier, yuppie condos, mall and poser’s beach. People exercising, stretching, and tanning do it for maximum effect in Los Angeles. Poser’s paradise is full of exhibitionists in the most public places. Back past all the market stalls to the hostel, then piled in the car and went down to Anaheim. Saw the Crystal Cathedral and Edison field -- home of the Angels which was all closed up. Had tea at Denny's then off to church at Vineyard. A rather small congregation but good worship. Home down the freeways in the inevitable rain.
