Walked to the subway and caught the train to the airport. The second bag of clothes and computer equipment makes walking far more awkward. Checked in with plenty of time but Brendan's pack was searched again and Brendan got the full treatment. We were eventually told that his boarding pass was printed with a code indicating he needs to be searched each time.

When we got to LAX, we rented a car and took a short drive to some of the beaches. After lunch at McDonald's, we checked in then drove to Saddleback. 2 1/4 hours on the freeway but we made it. Great service, awesome complex. The message was interspersed throughout the service. There was a cafe, singles service, two huge tents for years 7 to 8, and 9 to 12, three floors of themed rooms for those under four, and hang out rooms for those five and six. Saddleback has an average of 20,000 attendees per weekend, 10 conversions per day, three baptisms per day, and 10 different services.
