Alice Springs

Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia
Thursday, April 14, 1988

Our earliest start yet, 8:15, for our longest day yet. A morning tea stop on the Lasseter Highway, and lunch at a roadside stop on the Stuart Highway just north of Erldunda turnoff. When we finally arrived at Alice Springs we had to raid the teller machine to pay for our site. After a meal of fresh meat (steak, chops and sausages barbecued), chips, fresh bread and fresh milk drink, we felt human again and ready for anything.
