Morning tea in Mataranka proper, and the second petrol stop at Laramah for cheap fuel at the pub and a look at the crocodiles kept at the caravan park. We couldn't see the saltwater one, but the freshwater ones were certainly there.

Stopped at Daly Waters for lunch in the beer garden of the fascinating old pub. The pub is also the general store, bus depot, petrol station, motel and bank. The only pub in Australia where you could draw money out of your account across the bar. Full of exhibits of years gone by, and souvenirs of visitors.

On to Elliott and our first repeat visit to a caravan park. This time the hot water was connected, but there was still no toilet paper and the pool was grottier.
