Richmond, Queensland, Australia
Monday, May 9, 1988

A long stop in Cloncurry for morning tea and a shop. A nice, clean, looked after town where everything seemed freshly painted. On to Julia Creek for lunch in yet another park. The road has been quite decent this side of Mount Isa, though incredibly boring. We arrived at Richmond mid-afternoon to the first park we've encountered where the manager calls to collect fees. It was much cooler here, so much so that we actually felt like going for a walk instead of collapsing from exhaustion. Went for a walk after tea when Brendan was asleep, and rang Grandma and Nan for Mother's Day.
