Left our lovely caravan park at a reasonable time today. It seems we're getting later and later. Lots of cars on the road today, especially due to being the first day of the long weekend. Luckily, most of them are travelling north from Brisbane. Heard the forecasts today for the opening of the snow season at home, and we are still in shirts, shorts and thongs! Sunny and warm days in the low 20s.

Morning tea at Gympie at a nice park, after a short shop. Through Nambor, past the Big Pineapple, then took the turn off to Maroochydore. After looking at a few parks, we settled on a less flashy council park right on the surf beach.

After lunch we went and found Martin and Fiona Kurvink on the yacht Gabo Island at the local marina. Had a very pleasant afternoon chatting aboard their floating palace.
