Well I knew that I was a lousy salesman. After introducing myself to the manager who was given to me as my contact, it turned out that he was on holidays at the time so he knew nothing about what I was coming to talk about. Left after an unsuccessful visit sometime later and drove into town for a wander around. Mandy and Brendan had been in town most of the day, and I passed them without seeing them as they waited for a bus out back to the caravan.
After tea we went for a drive into town and saw Newcastle's lights and harbour by night, more for something to do than anything else.
