Returned to the Hendersons with the van about 10-ish and spent the rest of the morning setting up and then shopping for presents. Morning tea in a nice coffee shop in Castle Hill bathed in sunlight, then back to the Hendersons for lunch in their backyard. While Brendan slept, I lived dangerously and navigated solo to the nearest car wreckers to buy a replacement set of hubcaps for the caravan at the princely sum of five dollars. Had a phone call to say that both Geoff and Sandra Brown had come down with a particularly bad strain of flu that was sweeping Sydney, so we cancelled a planned dinner with them and ate in the caravan again. Spent the evening talking to John and Margaret and watching a bit of TV, after Brendan had been put to bed.
