Finally some great weather. Visited Stanley Chasm and Simpsons Gap on the way back to town.  Haven't they come on.  Where you used to have a dirt road and a walk down the creek bed, there are now sealed roads, big car parks, bus parking, rangers stations, admission fees and paved paths.  Waited till noon for the best views of the chasm, had lunch at the gap, then booked into the same caravan park as last time.  There are now lots of caravan parks, but we still got the last caravan site of the day.

After unhooking and afternoon tea we visited the School of the Air and Anzac Hill.  Took the same photo as in 1969 and 1988 and boy has it changed.  Later on in town we saw the same view in 1937, and it’s almost unrecognisable.

After tea we went to Coles for our big shop in preparation for the next leg.

The caravan park is four star and terrific.  Listened to Kieran Perkins win gold at Atlanta.
