Allowed the luxury of a sleep in, as both Connie and Dave had to head off to work for part of the day. Connie came home mid morning, and we headed off to do some shopping for her, then went home to meet up with Dave as he arrived back.

Went to Kent Station for lunch. It's the area around the railway station that has been developed into a lovely shopping and eating precinct with shops and restaurants of every persuasion. Went to Chipotle, a fresh Mexican restaurant, which is something we don't have at home, and enjoyed a lovely meal of things we had to look up in Google to know what they were. (Poblanos anybody?)

Being such a lovely sunny afternoon we googled the top 10 things to do in Kent (the city near Seattle where we are staying). Not surprisingly, and much to Dave's chagrin, eight of the ten were not open or happening, and that left just 2 walking trails. Ah, Kent is such an exciting place on a Thursday. So we headed off to the closest one.

The Soos Creek Trail was a lovely walk with an amazing view of Mt Rainier peaking through the trees, and we walked about 4km, before we turned around and retraced our steps to the car.

Both Kim and Mitch and their spouses came around for tea. Dave fired up the BBQ and we sat around outside with Bella providing the entertainment, whilst looking the photos I'd taken of the family and the house when I was last here 16 years ago. Ah, we were all so young then.
