Stood in the -15° cold and caught the first tour bus. Went through Harlem and the surrounds. Transferred to the downtown bus and went to Battery Park in time to take the Brooklyn tour bus. Had lunch at KFC and took the bus and subway home. Out again to Mickey Mantle's restaurant for tea shortly afterwards. Watched football and 'The Wedding Planner' afterwards. It turned out to be the coldest New York day in 10 years. We saw three shops in the one day flooded and dripping from fire sprinklers that had been activated by the cold.
