Up early for the Katherine Gorge boat trip. Took the two hour option through the first two gorges in a flat bottomed boat. Had to walk for a short distance between the two gorges and transfer boats. The second gorge was a picturesque one with sheer sides and vegetation growing a long way up. A small amount of aboriginal art was on the gorge walls between the first and second. Brendan enjoyed the experience. As is typical, he enjoys chatting to the other tourists more than the scenery.
A swim at the boat ramp on our return. After lunch, a visit to the ranger station for a video, and a chance for Dad to dodge the heat in the air-conditioned buildings. The Mudies turned up after a good rest day, and after Brendan's sleep we had a second swim along with the freshwater crocodiles.
