Darwin

We returned to Thyra's, and took Thyra and Andrew on their first picnic since arriving almost 2 years ago to Berry Springs Nature Park, where the boys played and we sat under leafy trees and talked. We had a couple of swims in the creek and nearby waterfall, and a picnic lunch before returning to the farm and bidding them farewell. A swim back at the caravan park before tea, when the Mudies rejoined us after a long day's drive from Katherine. I can't work out which is worse -- enduring the heat while driving like we do, or being thrown out of an air-conditioned car after a long drive into the sweltering heat like the Mudies. After tea, a backgammon lesson for Melissa and David.
