Our first really disappointing day. We set off with high hopes of spending the day at Obiri Rock, but were halted by the first water crossing in which we were ignominiously bogged and embarrassingly stranded till the next four-wheel-drive pulled us out. Another car got through coming back and reported that they had got through the first two streams but had been turned back by the third. We reasoned that there wasn't much point in going on, and so reluctantly abandoned our plans, and returned to Jabiru for morning tea, and then back to the village for a swim and lunch. After a lazy afternoon, we rang Grandma and Grandpa, and Brendan had a good chat to them.
