The Mudies headed north to Daintree this morning. Mandy took Brendan to the play centre in the morning, and after a little play together she left him reasonably happy, and arrived a bit after 10. About 11 o'clock my drip started to leak where it entered my arm, and despite the sister's best efforts to fix it, they had to turn it off and take it out. After a while, and a consultation with a resident, they decided to leave it out for good, but this meant I had to eat. They even decided not to bother giving me antibiotics in tablet form.
Freedom! I could walk without dragging a stand around! I could get out both sides of bed! I could roll over at night! Ate half my jelly and custard for lunch. The first food for five days, and promptly went to sleep, so Mandy went to pick up Brendan. He had a good time, but complained that it was a bit long. After tea Brendan went to Ruth's again, and Mandy came back in to find that the doctor was predicting my release tomorrow. When things move, they move fast. Had a bit of tea, and was understandably in a good mood. Mandy spent the evening looking up suitable units, and I had a reasonable sleep now that I didn't have to be woken every half hour or so.
