Cairns

Mandy took Brendan back to the play centre, and went to find a suitable unit for convalescing. Found a lovely two-bedroom unit close to town, and reasonably priced for Cairns. Came and collected me. Discharge was fairly casual. "Don't forget to tell us when you go" said the sister. No forms to sign, and no bills. The resident gave me an explanatory letter since we were foreigners, and a certificate for a month off work! After being deposited at the unit, Mandy went to pick up Brendan, do some shopping, and collect some stuff from the caravan which was still at the park.

Brendan was pleased to see me, but showed off for a while. Was able to fill my gastronomic fantasies for a day or so, so I chose smoked fish for tea and managed a reasonable portion. Had a good, uninterrupted nights sleep. Yay!
