Dashed into Cairns early to get a photo of the hospital, check the mail and get some Medicare refunds. Left the caravan park about 10 o'clock and finally headed towards home. Rained and drizzled most of the way. Had morning tea just out of Innisfail during a rain break, lunch of pies in Cardwell again and did a lovely half-hour wandering through the rangers station.
Arrived in Townsville at afternoon tea time and checked there for any stray mail. Were turned away by our first 'house full' sign at Rowes Bay caravan park so we went to Sun City instead -- not such a nice location, but better facilities and amenities.
Mandy drove for all but one leg today, though I coped well with my one stint. Brendan insisted on having a swim despite being cold and overcast.
