Returned our table tennis bats to the office, bought Pa a birthday present, and headed towards Proserpine. Just our luck -- the weather was beautiful and the sea was like a millpond on the day we were to leave. Oh well!
Had morning tea in Calen, and a small shop in a very general store. The climb to the top of the ridge at Eungella township was very steep, and we were in first gear for most of the way, though it was a fairly short distance. Found the last caravan site in the national park, and after lunch we went for a short rainforest walk, and watched the turtles and eels from the bridge.
Brendan had a late sleep, so at dusk Mandy and I went platypus spotting, and were rewarded with three or four sightings. A very cold night.
