A fairly late start, and then we got petrol and checked the tyres and so on. This meant a fairly late day all around, and made it seem a long drive. Morning tea at Mount Larcom, then lunch in a nice park overlooking the river in Gladstone where Brendan had a nice play on an old train.
A very hilly and winding stretch to Gin Gin, with lots of trucks overtaking you at awkward times. Took afternoon tea at Gin Gin at the service station where we had supper at 2am on our bus trip to the Whitsundays in 1984, and pigged out on hot chips. A late arrival at Bundaberg. Cold night and nippy morning.
