We rang Geoff and Sandra Brown early, but they were still well and truly down with flu. There have been many kids put into hospital, and at least one die, so they weren't keen to have us, and we weren't keen to go. Instead we spent the day with the Hendersons going to the Darling Harbour development in Sydney city. Drove to Grenfell and drove over the bridge, and left the car to catch the train. Walked from Town Hall Station, and after morning tea in the grounds we saw the 'First State 88’ exhibition. It was a very good, diverse look at periods in New South Wales history from 1788 through to 1988. Just a pity it wasn't at the Expo instead of in Sydney -- it was much better than their effort there. Films, animation and tributes to famous New South Wales people.
We had lunch at Woollies in Sydney and caught the train home. While Margaret rested, I picked John's brains about marketing software. Visited the Mudies for tea and had a lovely time catching up on the last few weeks, including Expo, showing photos, and generally wrapping up the holiday. After photos and presents we bade them a final farewell.
