Brendan had an unusually restless night. As the caravan was under Brett's carport with the top down we were all unexpectedly hot and restless. After breakfast and a short play with the girls we went to Parliament House for a tour. No tours were operating but a guided walk with commentaries in both houses was the go. The building is monstrous and lavish but not overdone. Most of it is lovely. Saw the Senate and the House of Representatives, the Great Hall and the tapestries. Had morning tea in the public dining area. After some photos we went back to Bretts for lunch, had a second play with the girls, packed up and left at 2pm.
Drove to Yass for petrol, then Brendan slept till afternoon tea at five o'clock in Tarcutta, then on to Albury for tea at the Pizza Hut at 7:30. In our entire trip this was our first night drive with the caravan. After tea, we drove through Wodonga and stopped at the first rest area, which was further than anticipated, near Chilton at 9:30. A noisy but free night in a last ditch effort to save money.
