Henbury Meteorite Craters

An uneventful drive back to the Stuart Highway the way we had come. Surfed ahead of menacing clouds all morning, and they eventually caught up with us at Erldunda during lunch.  The tarmac was three deep with caravans as people had the lunch inside the shelter.

Took the dirt turnoff from the highway towards the Henbury meteorite craters despite the dire warnings for caravans.  A lousy dirt road but we took the 19 kilometers slowly.

The craters were very interesting but the weather didn't show them in the best light.  It ended up being a perfunctory explore.

We survived a dust storm, and lots of wind and rain in the car park as the kids did some work in the afternoon.  Left the roof battened down for the night.
