Had an uneventful drive to Mataranka Homestead which hasn't changed much – it’s just busier. We got the last powered site at 11am, set up and went for a swim in the thermal pool.  It didn’t feel so oppressive as last time, no doubt because the air was cooler, so we didn’t get out and feel all sticky.

Mandy and the boys had another swim after lunch while I sat and read.  Before tea we explored the Elsie Homestead replica, and Mandy and I wandered up to the complex to sample the entertainment after tea.  A full moon meant we could wander around the paths near the pool by moonlight.

The kids got to feed some wallabies a bit of bread at dusk. Still needed windcheaters on after tea, but we did change into shorts today and put the jeans away.
