Edith Falls, Northern Territory, Australia

A great day by any account. The first day you could really call warm – it got to the mid thirties.  Mandy and the boys were up at seven for a pre-breakfast swim in the springs.  We then moved through Katherine for a quick shop and morning tea on genuine grass, before arriving at Edith Falls about lunchtime.

Took the 2 hour walking trail to the top pool where we swam for most of the afternoon.  Lovely waterfall, very deep water but extremely slippery rocks.  After walking back I took the kids to the lower pool for another swim, this time in one meter of water with a sandy bottom.  After tea we walked down to view the turtles and catfish by torchlight.
