Spent the day he looking around Norlangie Rock, in pretty much a mirror image of our last visit. Looked around the Anbangbang gallery and shelter where Ashley spotted our old friend the lightning man.
Drove to Anbangbang billabong for lunch under a shady tree overlooking the billabong and all its birds. After lunch we climbed Nawurlandja (little Norlangie Rock) and took in the great view of the wetlands, Norlangie Rock and Kakadu escarpment. Walked back down the billabong – now on the opposite side, for some more great views.
Did a little of the Iligadjarr walk near the Malabanjbanjdju campsite, but it was pretty uninspiring in the heat of the day.
Back to the camp site where Ashley spent a considerable part of the afternoon with his feet in a bucket of water. We barricaded ourselves inside again against the mosquitoes at nightfall.
