Up early to pack up and get to the Territory Wildlife Park at Berry Springs by 10.00 to see the feeding of the birds of prey – eagles, osprey and something else. Took the "train" around the park, then walked around seeing the deer, buffalo, camels, and dingoes and watched the feeding of the stingray and barracuda in the aquarium. Walked through the aviaries and monsoon forest walk, saw the anthropods and reptiles and then moved on to the nocturnal house. This was a hit with the kids as they tried to spot the nocturnal animals in their dim surroundings. Very well put together, and effectively Darwin's zoo.
Arrived in Darwin by afternoon tea and decided to stay at the same park as our last visit. It’s now far fuller of permanents and has far more patrons. The open site we had all to ourselves is now overgrown and full of permanents. Put up the awning for shade, and a small tent for the kids. Had a swim before tea. The weather is still warm and muggy, but the mosquitoes have abated. Forgot to mention that we went to Berry Springs for lunch and a swim.
