The change of time zones has really thrown us. We felt like falling into bed at 8.30pm, but we were wide awake at 5.30am, and so are the neighbours. Sunset is now at 5:15 and sunrise is at 6.00am! Being up so early, we went back up to the dam lookout after breakfast and still were away by 8:45. First call was the Argyle Homestead, moved to higher ground before the lake engulfed it. Now a museum, it was for many years home to the Durack dynasty.
Reached Kununurra at morning tea time, set up and then went to the Hidden Valley National Park (also known as the mini bungle bungles). Did the two designated walks and admired the views.
After lunch we did a bit of a drive around the Ord River farms, saw the view from Kelly's Knob and watched the Variety Club bash cars hoon around. Visited the Zebra Rock Gallery where very unusual rock is mined and worked into sculptures, then swam in the lake to cool off.
